What is the difference between Bollywood music and Bhangra music?

Bollywood music are songs / tracks from a particular Indian film. Normally playback singers would sing to these songs and actors would mime and act along to the words, when picturing the song / dances.

However, Bhangra music can be performed by Bhangra bands (like pop groups). Many British Asian Bhangra bands play regularly at nightclubs, events and various functions. Traditionally, the music has prominent dhol beats although nowadays this tends to be mixed with hip-hop, garage and
R & B.

Many nightclubs attended by regular British Asian Club goers will play Bhangra Music. Bhangra dancing is regularly performed at these events. Bollywood dancing is mainly performed by amateurs or professional dancers at concerts and in films / pop videos.
